Archibald J. Treat photograph collection, 1887-1891.

Photographs documenting construction of Leland Stanford Junior University, used as progress reports and sent to university founder Senator Leland Stanford for his approval. Views include the Stanford quadrangle, museum, mausoleum and Encina Hall, and some group shots of the construction workers. Collection also includes a panaramic view of the campus foothills, 1886, before construction.
